The Alton (IL) Telegraph reports that a group of cyclists is leaving from Alton today, planning to follow Adventure Cycling's Lewis and Clark route up the Missouri River and finally to Oregon:
The group will cross nine mountain passes, go through four national parks and monuments, overlook dozens of rivers and view wildlife such as bison, elk, deer and antelope. . . . The group includes cyclist Robert Peterson of Salem, Missouri. |
