KCStar article focuses on 12-year-old killed in bicycle-auto collision
Tuesday's KCStar had a long article about a 12-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, boy who was recently killed in a car-bike collision. (A
previous KCStar article has more details about the collision.)
The article talks much about helmet use and the possibility of a helmet law for children. It mentions the problem of automobiles driving too fast and exceeding the speed limit on residential streets. Unfortunately it doesn't mention more of the many, many other things that both
motorists and
bicyclists can do to make cycling far, far safer.
