Prosecutor pleased that motorist who struck cyclist will serve time
Tina Greenstreet of Kirksville struck a cyclist, leading to a broken leg for the cyclist. She pleaded guilty to striking the cyclist and leaving scene of the accident last February. She was sentenced to probation. When she recently broke the terms of her probation, driving while intoxicated with a suspended license, she was been sentenced to five years prison time.
According to a KTVO-TV story, Adair County Prosecutor Mark Williams had this response:
"I'm pleased she's going to have to suffer the consequences of her actions. We felt that in the beginning she should of served a little bit of time because of the seriousness of the nature of the crime. Hitting an individual on a bike and severely injuring them. She should of spent sometime in the dept. Of corrections," Williams says.
