St. Louis cyclists bring attention to bike accidents
Last weekend's St. Louis Post-Dispatch had an article about cyclist Patrick Van Der Tuin, who with the help of friends placed 15 "ghost bikes" in prominent spots where cyclists have recently been hit by automobiles:
They set out just after dusk with several mangled cycles on the bike rack on his car. Stopping at intersections where he knew cyclists had been struck, he jumped out of his car, locked the bikes to street lamps and sign posts and drove to the next location.
MountainBike.com also covered the ghost bikes.
