The Kansas City Star covered the Walk to School day activities of several KC-area schools:
Safe Routes to School is a growing movement fueled by child health concerns including obesity and childhood diabetes. It is designed to create safe ways for students to travel to school by bike or by foot. . . .The Raytown School District is piloting a "Walking School Bus" program that MARC Bike/Ped Coordinator Aaron Bartlett hopes will become a model followed across Kansas City and the entire state. |
