Collision reminds bicyclists to STOP at stop signs
Tuesday, August 16, 2005
KTVO of Kirksville reports this story:
A car traveling east on Jefferson Street struck a 10-year-old Kirksville boy who was headed north on Fible Street while riding his bike.

The two collided at the intersection of Jefferson and Fible. . . .

Kirksville Police Sergeant David Bruner said the 10-year-old Kirksville boy and his 12-year-old brother just didn't see the car coming, and didn't see the stop sign and pulled out in front of the car.
Fortunately the 10-year-old bicyclist was not seriously injured.

But the story does serve to remind us--STOP, LOOK, and YIELD at stop signs, every time.
