New Frisco Highline trail connects Springfield and Bolivar
Wednesday, October 05, 2005
A Springfield News-Leader article tells about the opening ceremonies for the new 32-mile Frisco Highline trail connecting Bolivar and Springfield in southwestern Missouri:
Ed Meyer seconded what the mayors and other officials gathered at what's known as Hobo Camp Bridge north of Walnut Grove said: That with more people learning about the trail, economic benefits from what state tourism director John Robinson called economic tourism can't be far behind.

"I'd say give it five or 10 years, this will be Katy," he said as some 250 people gathered at the 35-mile-long trail's midpoint.
Ozark Greenways has a complete description and map of the new trail.

And Associated Press article also covered the opening of the trail.
