Foundation receives 501c3 tax exempt status from IRS

We are pleased to announce that the Missouri Bicycle Foundation recently received its IRS tax exemption letter officially certifying its status as a 501(c)(3) Public Charity.

The letter officially confirms that contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible under the IRS code.

As we had previously announced, this tax exempt status is retroactive to 10 August, 2005, the date the Foundation was incorporated, and all contributions made after that time are considered tax deductible.

The Foundation has its own web page with more information about the Foundation's mission and purpose.

Some employers have programs to match contributions given to 501(c)(3) public charities like the Foundation, and in some cases the employer wishes to have a copy of the IRS exemption letter, which you can download/print here (PDF format).
