"Clutch's Law", which increases penalties, up to and including driver's license suspension, for those who run stop or yield signs causing injuries or death, is moving forward in the Missouri General Assembly.

These provisions are part of an omnibus transportation bill sponsored by Senator Michael Gibbons. The bill also includes provisions for highway worker safety, strengthening the 'move over' provisions for emergency vehicles, greater penalties for failing to stop for school buses, and child safety seat requirements.

MoBikeFed supports this legislation. It will apply to those who fail to yield to bicyclists just as it applies to every other type of vehicle allowed on the roadways.
