Columbia, Missouri, is seeking a full-time bicycle/pedestrian coordinator. This is a logical step in implementing Columbia's $22 million non-motorized pilot program, designed to make major strides in making the (already bike/ped friendly, by Missouri standards) city into a bicycle and walking mecca.

SENIOR PLANNER/NON-MOTORIZED PROGRAMS ($46,091 - $62,918) with the City of Columbia, Missouri Public Works Department. To oversee implementation of Columbia's federal Non-Motorized Transportation Pilot Program grant. Requires a background in planning of bicycle and pedestrian transportation and recreation systems and projects at the state, regional or local level. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills. Must be a self-starter and be able to work in a team environment. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with community interest groups, the general public, City officials, and City staff. Knowledge of construction and zoning standards and regulations. Knowledge of maps, deeds, plats, and plans. Ability to prepare accurate plans, specifications, cost estimates, and engineering reports.
