Mark Reynolds Fund "Take A Kid Mountain Biking" ride receives hono
Friday, November 03, 2006
Now in its third year, IMBA's Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day program continues to improve and expand. In 2006, the day was celebrated in locations as diverse as Yokohama City, Japan, Treviso, Italy, and Chiluca, Mexico. More than 100 groups registered their rides on IMBA's website for the 2006 edition of the annual celebration.
IMBA gave special honors to a few rides around the world. One of them was the event held by the Mark Reynolds Fund in St. Joseph, Missouri:
Kids and adults gathered for a ride to celebrate the life of Mark Jeffery Reynolds. A native of St. Joseph, Mark lost his life while mountain biking near his home in California. The motocross and cycling community has suffered a great loss, but his love for children and passion for helping these children lives on through this memorial fund, the Children's First Bicycle Fund. IMBA and Schwinn USA are excited about offering three bikes to this outstanding organization.
